About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Florenceville Amsterdam Inn & Suites LTD. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
  • Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: Our restaurant is located in a rural area, offering a unique and peaceful work environment.
  • Supervision: You will be working under the supervision of a Cook (general) and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cuisine Specialties: We specialize in Canadian cuisine, offering a diverse and exciting menu for our guests.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this role, ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: You will need to have your own transportation to and from work.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the physical demands of standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player with excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
