Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ranch Hand to join our team at Springfield Ranch Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process, fertilizing and spraying crops, harvesting crops, feeding and tending animals, and operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the calving process and ensure the health and well-being of cattle
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and development
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time to ensure maximum yield and quality
  • Feed and tend animals, including cattle, horses, and other livestock
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and harvesters
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform general farm duties, including maintenance and repairs
Requirements
  • Experience working on a farm or ranch is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of crop management and animal care
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a rural area, with staff accommodation available. The work environment will be physically demanding, with exposure to weather conditions, dust, and other hazards.
