Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. They will also fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Ensuring all work is done to a high standard and meets company expectations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment
  • 40 to 55 hours per week
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own vehicle
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Safety glasses/goggles
  • Tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Bondable
  • Criminal record check
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with various locations. They will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
