Senior Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Plan Group. As a key member of our estimating team, you will play a crucial role in developing competitive bids for mechanical projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze job specifications and drawings to develop accurate estimates.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
- Produce detailed material and labor take-offs using estimating software.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather information and clarify specifications.
- Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in final quotations.
- Participate in bid review meetings and closing the bid process.
- Support and lead specific Alternate Financing & Procurement (AFP) Integrated Pursuits with a mechanical focus.
- 7-10 years of estimating experience in mechanical estimating or the mechanical construction industry.
- Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or related education, and/or trade experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Accubid Enterprise is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and proposal presentations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to mentor junior estimators and collaborate with teams.
- Thorough understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
