Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings
  • Answer telephones, respond to general correspondence, and maintain accurate records
  • Perform data entry, word processing, and other administrative tasks
  • Compile and enter statistical information, and manage medical supplies and equipment
  • Escort patients to examination rooms, and assist with routine measurements and procedures
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Medical Office Assistant certificate from an accredited community college
  • Two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License
