Position Overview

The Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients experiencing actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. This role encompasses service delivery in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, patients, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide supervision and evaluation for physiotherapy students and assistants, fostering a learning environment.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

We invite candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or entry-level Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership with the provincial licensing body for Physiotherapists.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with statistical input and word processing software.
  • Current certification in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (BCLS).
  • Additional training or courses in specialized areas of practice, such as manual therapy, acupuncture, or stroke rehabilitation, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus, with a preference for French.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time long assignment, 100% FTE, totaling 75 hours bi-weekly.
  • Estimated duration of approximately one year and six months.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $42.89. Successful candidates may qualify for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
