About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Pembroke, ON. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our supervising physiotherapist to deliver high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising physiotherapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, and range of motion exercises
  • Deliver dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents
  • Set up and prepare equipment, and maintain a safe and tidy environment
  • Communicate effectively with the physiotherapist and other team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Record daily treatments using our proprietary system

Qualifications:

  • PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology
  • Previous experience in an LTC setting is an asset
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Covid Vaccination Certificate
