Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of communications strategies that align with our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote business updates, employee contributions, and organizational changes through effective storytelling.
  • Serve as an internal communications point of contact for Human Resources and other business functions.
  • Design, write, produce, and distribute various communications and tools, including written content, video, photos, reports, and flyers.
  • Develop and execute an internal and external content strategy, working with peers in public affairs and marketing to ensure consistency of messages across the enterprise.
  • Identify topics and opportunities to share customer wins and milestones with employees, and develop business acumen across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate and support external engagements, as well as in-person events as needed.
  • Coordinate and support dignitaries and customers' visits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners.
  • Establish and maintain procedures and processes to ensure that communications activities are carried out on time and in a consistent and efficient manner, in accordance with company commitments and corporate standards.
  • Exert some influence on the overall business objectives and long-term goals of the public relations function.
  • Help manage the donations and sponsorship program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, preferably in internal/employee communications, public relations, or marketing communications.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, proficiency in English and French.
  • Understanding of industry practices and standards in communications.
  • Proven experience building collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Work well under pressure, establish realistic schedules, and meet deadlines while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience in media relations is an asset.
  • Self-starter who can anticipate requests before they are received.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.
  • Can-do attitude and desire to work with a fun and energetic team of communications pros.
