About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Prime General Contractors Inc. as a key member of our painting and maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings to create a seamless surface.
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Advise customers on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging to ensure safe and efficient access to work areas.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate and detailed quotes to customers.
Requirements
  • Airless spray equipment experience is essential for this role.
  • Brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting skills are also required.
  • Drywall taping/patching, steam cleaning, and sandblasters experience is necessary for surface preparation.
  • Bondable and valid driver's license are also required.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and physical demands of the job are essential.
  • Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is also required.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment will be provided.
