Senior Accountant, Consolidations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting and Consolidations team at Brookfield Renewable. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the close processes, financial reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute the quarterly consolidation and close process to drive the financial statements of Terraform Power and Brookfield Renewable.
- Prepare and record journal entries, complete monthly general ledger close functions, and assist with internal controls and process improvement.
- Prepare supporting schedules and analysis required for financial statements and disclosures, management reporting, and audit evidence.
- Assist with automation and system process improvement projects, technical accounting, and non-recurring transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressive work experience.
- Solid analytical abilities, combined with being detail-oriented.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Superior interpersonal abilities, including an ability to get along with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Resourceful, well-organized, and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel.
- Fixed Assets accounting experience preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
