The University of Ottawa invites applications for a dynamic and experienced Interpretation Theory Instructor. This role will contribute to the vibrant academic community within our esteemed Language Studies department.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various aspects of interpretation theory and practice.
  • Develop and assess course materials that align with program objectives and promote critical thinking in students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering their academic growth and understanding of interpreting concepts.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of curriculum within the Language Studies department.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in theories and practices of interpretation across diverse contexts.
  • Proven experience teaching interpretation courses, encompassing both official languages.
  • Professional background in interpreting, showcasing practical application of theoretical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian market and its specific interpreting needs is highly desirable.
