Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of stockroom staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement processes to prevent stock losses.
- Ordering and Receiving: Coordinate the receipt and storage of incoming merchandise, ensuring that all items are accurately received and stored in a timely manner.
- Authorization and Returns: Authorize returns and exchanges, and ensure that all returns are processed in accordance with company policies.
- Scheduling and Reporting: Establish work schedules, prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, and provide regular updates to management.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in the stockroom.
- Inventory Organization: Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, ensuring that all products are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of stockroom staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of grocery clerks and shelf stockers.
- Government Programs: A-Mart North Calgary is a recognized employer, offering a permanent work term with 30-44 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
