Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Private Home PSW. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Job Summary:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Administer medications and provide wound care as required.
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and linen changes.
  • Shop for groceries and household supplies, and prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Requirements:
  • Geriatric Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 45-60 kg (100-132 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required
