Clinical Programming Lead

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. is in search of a Clinical Programming Lead to enhance our team. This pivotal role will deliver expert-level programming support and technical guidance to create, maintain, validate, and execute SAS computer programs that access, visualize, and report clinical trial data in alignment with various clinical strategies, ICH standards, and regulatory obligations.

The position is integral to our Data Management department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all Clinical Programming tasks at the project or study level utilizing electronic data capture (eDC) and external raw datasets.
  • Collaborate across departments to establish and implement a data visualization framework for medical monitoring and clinical evaluation.
  • Develop data listings to facilitate Medical Monitoring assessments and generate data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the formulation and assessment of Standard Operating Procedures pertinent to clinical data management programming.
  • Conduct data verifications, program patient profile listings, and create SAS macros and tools for data cleansing and reporting.
  • Set departmental objectives and lead the recruitment, direction, and development of team members.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a scientific or computer science discipline, with a preference for training in statistics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within data management programming.
  • Proficiency in SAS programming for clinical trials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
