The Senior R&D Engineer is tasked with the creation of software products and supporting systems. In this capacity, the Senior R&D Engineer will apply advanced technical and analytical skills to assist the team in addressing intricate challenges, fulfilling customer needs, and achieving development goals.

You will engage in extensive software development initiatives while collaborating with colleagues in small, cross-functional teams. You will participate in an Agile working model that promotes effective teamwork.

As a proficient software specialist, your peers will depend on you to resolve common challenges as you implement reliable and robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning, architecture, and research.
  • Conduct complex development tasks, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and subsystems. This may involve extensive analysis in areas such as HPC Cluster provisioning in a cloud environment.
  • Engage in Agile process meetings. Utilize best practices to translate customer requirements into scalable designs and assist in maintaining them through technical reviews and mentorship.
  • Execute complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products. Investigate and comprehend the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive factors.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and may assume some planning and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing commercial enterprise software.
  • Proficiency in developing web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience in designing APIs and creating scalable services using object-oriented programming languages (Python, C#, or Java).
  • Experience with large project development and deployment on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software development best practices, Git, Linux, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with NoSQL or RDBMS database technologies.
  • Expertise in designing Microservices, web architecture, gRPC, and web APIs such as RESTful.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
