Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Store Leader is responsible for cultivating the Roots Experience for both customers and staff. This role emphasizes leadership development, succession planning, and effective coaching. The Store Leader is expected to exemplify and uphold the core values and principles of Roots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed store sales targets by implementing company standards, policies, and procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Provide continuous coaching in sales techniques tailored to each team member's strengths and areas for improvement to help them achieve their sales objectives.
  • Develop actionable plans to enhance individual performance and productivity.
  • Foster customer loyalty by ensuring an outstanding shopping experience and addressing customer concerns promptly and positively.
  • Lead by example in both sales and customer service interactions.
  • Actively recruit qualified candidates for current and future positions to ensure the store's operational needs are met.
Essential Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ability to manage resources effectively to maintain established service levels consistently.
  • Capability to handle multiple situations simultaneously while remaining composed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload efficiently.
  • Proficient in team-building with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a retail apparel setting.
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrated through key performance indicators, employee retention, and coaching success.
  • Experience in visual merchandising and planning.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets in a high-volume retail environment.
