Job Summary

The Casino Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the complex, adhering to departmental policies and procedures, as well as NBLGC terms and conditions. This role requires excellent communication skills to interact with patrons and colleagues in a courteous and friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reports to the EVS Supervisor
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, performing cleaning duties as assigned in the Casino and public lobby areas
  • Complies with safety procedures, including the use of required safety equipment, and identifies unsafe practices or conditions to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Maintains all areas in compliance with departmental policies and procedures, NBLGC, and applicable internal controls
  • Interacts with patrons in a courteous and friendly manner, providing information as needed
  • Promotes and maintains the utmost integrity and highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees, and casino personnel
  • Maintains general awareness of gaming operations at all times and complies with security policies and procedures to secure company assets
  • Additional or different responsibilities or duties, consistent with the position, may be assigned at the discretion of the department
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Works in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures
  • Helps create a healthy work environment by not condoning, participating in, or reporting any harassment, discrimination, gossiping, or unfair treatment of anyone
  • Ensures proper hygiene, grooming, and uniform requirements at all times, arriving to work in a clean uniform
  • Reports any issues or defective equipment or protective devices that could endanger someone
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Minimum 1 year housekeeping/janitorial experience
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
Work Environment Considerations
  • Standing or walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, cleaning, some exposure to heat and cold, some exposure to smoke, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
