R&D Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Verification Engineer to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our validation team, you will be responsible for conducting software testing of ANSYS applications such as OpticStudio and its add-in modules.
Key Responsibilities- Assess how well the product meets customer needs, both in terms of functionality and usability, using physics-based optical simulation.
- Ensure that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied as per the company's quality procedures.
- Work closely with other members of the product creation team and communicate with technical specialists on product issues.
- Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts.
- Perform functional and regression testing in manual and automated test environments.
- Verify defect fixes and write software defect reports.
- Create test plans, participate in defect management, and testing metrics.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes.
- BS in Optical Engineering or directly related field with 1-3 years of experience or MS with no experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (conversational English skills are required).
- Solid foundation in optical physics.
- Familiar with software validation and testing.
- 1+ years of experience using Python (and/or MATLAB) for computational analysis and/or modeling.
- Industrial experience designing, building, and/or testing optical products.
- Technical knowledge and experience with the OpticStudio Application Programming Interface (ZOS-API).
- Passion for the customer and product quality and a strong attention to detail.
