Senior Financial Analyst - Long Term Care

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our corporate finance team in Cambridge, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the financial accounting for select Southbridge properties, partnering with Executive Directors, Operations Vice Presidents, and the finance team to ensure overall financial success for their portfolio of homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial accounting for select Southbridge properties, ensuring accurate and timely results for corporate management.
  • Work alongside various departments and facilities to complete the monthly full cycle accounting for Long Term Care and Retirement facilities.
  • Monitor monthly performance metrics, conduct variance analysis, and ensure timely proper reporting to the corporate reporting team.
  • Analyze and submit regulatory and tax compliance to all provincial/local regulations and laws.
  • Participate in the ARR audit and assist with other reporting for long term care homes to the MOLTC.
  • Participate in the interim and year end audit process, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and liaison with auditors.
Requirements:
  • Experience with full cycle accounting.
  • An in-depth understanding of the senior care continuum.
  • Understanding of accounting and tax requirements for Canadian senior housing companies, including IFRS.
