As an Aquatic Safety Instructor, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for children, youth, and adults. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring swimming activities to ensure a secure environment, including regular patrols of the pool area.
- Conducting emergency rescues and responding to inquiries from patrons, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Preparing the pool area before your shift and maintaining cleanliness afterward.
- Participating in all scheduled training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
In addition to lifeguarding duties, as an instructor, you will:
- Assess and document the progress of your students through report cards.
- Utilize your expertise to teach water safety skills in an inclusive setting.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor is required.
- Previous experience in teaching swimming lessons is preferred.
