Job Summary

Jardeg-Construction is seeking a skilled Insulator Journeyperson to join our team for the Suncor Firebag project. As an Insulator, you will be responsible for applying, removing, and repairing thermal and acoustical insulation on various industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Apprentices: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Install and Fabricate Insulation: Use hand and power-operated equipment to install, fit, and attach insulation materials to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Describe Insulation Materials: Thoroughly explain insulation materials and their uses to ensure effective communication with the team.
  • Coordinate Insulation Work: Collaborate with other trades on the job site to ensure seamless execution of insulation work.
  • Comply with Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • OSSA/ESC Approved Fall Protection
  • OSSA/ESC Approved Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • OSSA/ESC Elevated Work Platform/Ariel Work Platform
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Training Certification
