Job Overview:

This position is accountable for the continuous oversight of both existing and newly assigned estate, trust, and agency accounts of varying complexities. The role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with clients, beneficiaries, and co-trustees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER FOCUS

  • Facilitate the integration of Trust products by thoroughly understanding the evolving needs and situations of clients and collaborating closely with business partners to ensure all Trust requirements are recognized and met.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with current clients, beneficiaries, and co-trustees, taking responsibility for client profiling to identify and anticipate the needs of clients and their families, while managing sales and referrals.
  • Ensure that identified prospective clients receive the Trust services they require and refer additional opportunities to TDBG and Wealth partners.
  • Manage relationships for a portfolio of accounts and clients, exercising professional judgment in discretionary matters and overseeing tax, investment, and administrative services provided by internal partners.
  • Create comprehensive advisory plans for clients with complex needs and possess the necessary skills to provide advice in specialized areas when appropriate.
  • Guarantee that each client receives an exceptional client experience through a robust and sustainable client contact routine.

SHAREHOLDER VALUE

  • Implement sales strategies to retain clients, capitalize on sales opportunities, and generate referrals to enhance profitability and support business growth.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the center's business portfolio by serving as a specialist resource for PWM Partners.
  • Identify opportunities within the existing client base to refer to Wealth, Commercial, and other divisions of TDBG.
  • Propose and actively engage in process improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively manage relationships across various business lines and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and evaluate their potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite.
  • Assume responsibility for minimizing operational and regulatory risks by adhering to Bank and industry Codes of Conduct.

  • Lead, motivate, and cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners/stakeholders to foster productive working relationships.

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and externally.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Working towards completion of the Canadian Securities Course.
  • Working towards completion of TEP – Trust & Estate Practitioner is an asset.
  • Professional designations such as MBA, CA, LLB, CFA, etc., are desirable but not mandatory.
