Job Title: Early Childhood Education Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Worker to join our team at Knowledge Tree Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, encouraging creativity, and guiding children in developing proper habits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses: First Aid Certificate
  • Target Audience: Children
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, honesty, ability to multitask
