About the Role

F R C TRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Assistant to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our transportation maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist diesel mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Work Environment

As a Diesel Mechanic Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced transportation maintenance environment. You will be exposed to various weather conditions, including outdoors, confined spaces, noise, dust, heat, and wet/damp conditions.

Requirements
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Weight handling: up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
