Job Summary

The Area Supply Attendant is responsible for maintaining stock levels, distributing medical supplies, and recording inventory data. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Count, record, and enter medical supply inventory using computer systems and handheld devices.
  • Perform returns and exchanges according to established procedures.
  • Deliver and restock medical supplies to departments, adhering to established quotas.
  • Complete routine records, including documentation for direct supplies, and deliver to relevant departments.
  • Enter requisitions into the computer system as required.
  • Clean and maintain stockrooms, shelves, and carts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store room.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including answering phones, filing, and data entry.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts by counting items in inventory.

Requirements

  • Grade 10 plus six months' recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
