About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English language instructor to join our team at the British Council in Spain. As a key member of our teaching staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality English language instruction to students of all ages and levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English language lessons that cater to the needs of diverse student groups.
  • Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and promote learner autonomy through the use of homework and other teaching materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring that teaching materials are tailored to meet the needs of specific student groups.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students, particularly those in the Early Years and Lower Secondary age groups, by adhering to British Council safeguarding policies and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification, such as the Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL.
  • Have a minimum of one year of post-qualification teaching experience, with a focus on teaching English as a foreign language.
  • Be able to teach a range of age groups, including Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary, and Adults.
