Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data ingestion systems for analytics and machine learning applications.
  • Analyze complex data flows and design optimal data models for storage and retrieval.
  • Lead the implementation of data transformations and refine existing processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Develop robust observability systems and automated exception handling mechanisms to monitor system health and performance.
  • Research and evaluate new software tools and technologies for database maintenance and optimization.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers on best practices for building reliable and scalable data systems.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Python programming and 6+ years of experience with SQL.
  • Proven expertise in data engineering principles, including data APIs, ETL processes, and query optimization.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Databricks is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with decentralized technologies is a plus.
