About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our team at Connor Industries. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication: Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Material Handling: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas welding machine operation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a manufacturing environment.
