Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Advisor to join our team at Desjardins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and clients, ensuring their financial needs are met, and promoting our cooperative values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support members and clients in achieving their financial goals by providing personalized advice and guidance on banking transactions and financial products.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and referring clients to colleagues who can provide specialized support.
  • Assist members and clients who have encountered fraud or irregularities, and ensure they are referred to the appropriate partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest standards, products, and services in the financial industry.
  • Uphold compliance, security, and risk management standards.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of all counter and convenience products and services
  • Knowledge of all Desjardins products and services aimed at caisse members and those offered by business centres, components, distribution networks/channels, and competitors
  • Knowledge of integrating data into systems
  • Knowledge of security measures, legal framework, and internal controls
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of operating procedures related to convenience products and services and automated and assisted transactions
  • Knowledge of service standards
