Overview of the Role

The Logistics Centre Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Logistics Centre Manager with various administrative tasks, scheduling, inventory management, and freight claims, collaborating closely with the head-office team. This position also provides assistance to logistics centre personnel during peak times.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Centre Operations

Manage incoming communications from carriers and branches. Offer administrative assistance to the logistics centre. Address supplier receiving challenges or discrepancies. Coordinate scheduling for incoming freight carrier shipments. Support all logistics centre staff in utilizing ERP distribution functionalities.

Inventory Management

Review and organize packing slips, identifying any shipping errors. Notify purchasing agents or resolve supplier shipping errors. Prepare and process freight claims. Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in logistics centre inventory organization. Aid in the preparation and coordination of the annual inventory count. Participate in the annual inventory count. Supervise stock adjustments.

Additional Responsibilities

Procure office supplies and refreshments. Arrange food and prepare training rooms for customer events and seminars. Assist head office personnel with their inquiries. Required Skills and Qualifications
Deliver exceptional customer service. Capable of managing challenging customer interactions with professionalism. Proficient in following documented procedures and instructions. Understanding of basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer and typing skills. Problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Self-motivated individual, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated integrity and adherence to ethical standards. Professional demeanor and conduct. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with negotiation abilities. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Team-oriented individual who collaborates effectively with diverse groups. Excellent organizational skills. Previous experience in an administrative capacity. Education: High school diploma. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an administrative role.
