The Advanced R&D Engineer II plays a pivotal role in the creation of software solutions and associated systems. In this capacity, the Advanced R&D Engineer II will work alongside a team of skilled professionals to grasp client needs and achieve development goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engages in moderately complex development tasks, which include the design, execution, upkeep, testing, and documentation of software components and subsystems. Applies and adheres to industry best practices. Conducts moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for designated products. Investigates issues identified by quality assurance or product support and formulates solutions. Comprehends the marketing demands for a product, encompassing target environment, performance benchmarks, and competitive challenges. Operates under the general oversight of a development manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with two years of experience, or a Master’s degree. Practical experience with unstructured mesh generation algorithms for finite-element/control-volume solvers, CAD systems, and foundational CAD topology and geometry.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical expertise and familiarity with C++, object-oriented design principles, and GUI frameworks such as OpenGL, QT, or MFC. Background in a large-scale commercial software development setting. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to learn swiftly and collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
