Job Title: Child Care Live-In Caregiver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Child Care Live-In Caregiver to join our team at Steven Walsh. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a live-in setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in child care
  • College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a live-in setting, providing care and support to children in a residential environment. The work setting will be in an urban area, with room and board provided.
