Job Title: Shunter Driver

As a Shunter Driver with Cirque du Soleil, you will be responsible for the safe movement and parking of trailers around our construction sites. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers around the site
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Inspect vehicles and trailers to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Couple and uncouple trailers as needed
  • Park trailers safely and efficiently
  • Maneuver loaded and empty trailers around the site
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate class and endorsements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in operating trucks and trailers
  • Ability to maneuver vehicles in tight spaces
  • Experience in driving heavy machinery and loading and unloading
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatcher and other team members
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to drive an automatic and manual transmission trucks and shunt trucks
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including coupling and uncoupling trailers, climbing in and out of vehicles, and lifting
