Educational Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess food portion sizes and calculate associated costs.
  • Design menus and forecast food requirements for preparation.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide training to staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling.
  • Oversee kitchen staff and assist in their development.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of food supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets.
Certifications
  • Cook Trade Certification is preferred.
  • Food Safety Certificate is required.
Culinary Expertise
  • Specialization in Cantonese cuisine.
  • Proficient in sushi preparation techniques.
  • Experience with Szechuan and Dim Sum dishes.
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory.
Work Conditions

Experience

Ideal candidates will have between 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 35 to 40 hours per week, conducted in English.
