Position Overview:
The Mobile Application Developer plays a crucial role within our IT team, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of a mobile application tailored to support student recruitment and ongoing student services. This position is vital in creating mobile applications for iOS, Android, and Windows platforms, utilizing multi-platform frameworks such as Xamarin or .NET MAUI. The primary objective is to develop an application that facilitates student enrollment and supports them throughout their educational journey, ultimately enhancing their overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced mobile applications to improve student engagement.
  • Create intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces.
  • Develop prototypes and conduct usability testing to refine application design.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate mobile app features with existing backend systems.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor app performance and resolve any issues.
  • Provide regular updates and enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Maintain and upgrade mobile applications in line with new platform releases.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Implement new features and improvements based on evolving college needs.
  • Connect mobile app functionalities with existing college resources and services.
  • Address bugs and enhance application performance.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the college's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred certifications in iOS, Android, .NET MAUI, or Xamarin.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Mobile App Development.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development.
  • Experience in developing applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Published applications in the iOS and/or Android app stores.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS, Android, or multi-platform development.
  • Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the mobile development life cycle.
