We are seeking a talented Controls Hardware Designer and Integrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing PLC and/or PC-based programs tailored to customer and project requirements.
  • Developing controls architecture and code for partial or wholesale changes, as well as new system development.
  • Specifying, testing, and qualifying control hardware components in collaboration with other design teams.
  • Programming and commissioning AMR technology.
  • Developing or enhancing internal software tools using C#, VBA, and SQL.
  • Providing written summaries and reports reflecting current and desired states, as well as recommendations.
  • Creating, procuring, and/or managing electrical schematics related to the hardware design.
  • Managing drawing packages and documentation.
  • Conducting efficiency studies, including OEE and Failure analysis.
  • Completing all required internal time reporting and customer update reporting.
  • Traveling as required to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and training tasks.
  • Tracking and recording all expenses such as job costs and travel.
  • Ensuring that all activities are conducted with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with RAMP Inc. business policies.
  • Adhering to both internal and customer site health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form at all levels.
  • 2-3 years of experience in all aspects of controls system design, including motion control and vision systems.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as SPC and Six Sigma.
  • Electrical Engineering designation or a College technical program related to automation, electrical design, or robotics.
  • Ability to travel internationally for periods up to 2-3 weeks.
  • Proficiency in C#, VBA, and SQL.
