Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team at Astra North Infoteck Inc. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and a strong background in Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical certification is required.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with extensive SQL data warehouses.
  • ETL Expertise: Proficient in Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) processes utilizing platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks. Ability to establish cloud connectivity between various systems including ADLS, ADF, Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting and troubleshooting large databases and conducting testing activities.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in TSQL programming, along with experience in Azure Data Factory and Python scripting.
  • Database Management: Expert knowledge in relational database management.
  • Data Navigation: Demonstrated ability to handle large volumes of data effectively, delivering efficient data extraction, design, loading, and reporting solutions to stakeholders.
  • Security Management: Identifying and managing database security issues, including user access and management.
  • Database Design: Experience in designing database backup, archiving, storage solutions, performance tuning, and capacity planning for large data imports from multiple systems.
  • Financial Sector Experience: Experience with data marts in financial institutions is advantageous.
  • Application Development: Familiarity with .NET applications is a plus.
  • Dashboard Design: Experience and expertise in designing Tableau-driven dashboards is beneficial.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and eager to learn, with a positive attitude.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
