About the Role

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Laborer to join our team in assisting with landscape construction projects. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work in our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of landscape construction projects, including clearing debris and waste from the area.
  • Administer fertilizers to plants and ensure the overall health and appearance of our outdoor spaces.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fixing and upkeep of machinery, and operating and caring for landscaping tools.
  • Compose daily progress reports to ensure transparency and accountability in our work.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and manual labor, requiring physical stamina and endurance.
  • Occasionally bend, crouch, and kneel to complete tasks, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work at heights.
