Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on-site crews and ensure project construction activities meet project requirements.
  • Implement Valard's safety policies and procedures.
  • Document and report all injuries and communicate with the onsite Safety Advisor.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project construction timelines.
  • Manage subcontractors on site and develop subcontract agreements as required.
  • Mentor, train, and motivate job site crews in adopting a culture of safety, quality, and production.
  • Empower crews to be knowledgeable of company safety, construction, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to review and obtain closure to all RFIs and Cos.
  • Ensure crew timesheets are completed and submitted consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Support internal and external audit and inspection activities.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Journeyman Powerline Technician with live line experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to manage large work groups consisting of up to 50-75 people at any one time.
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, project scheduling, cost, and quality controls.
