Job Title: PDP1421 Health and Physical Education Primaire-Moyen, part I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physical Education and Health Specialist to join our team at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Physical Education and Health programs in an Ontario classroom, as well as facilitating ongoing professional development focused on implementing Ontario Curriculum at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Physical Education and Health programs in an Ontario classroom
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development focused on implementing Ontario Curriculum at a high level
  • Lead professional learning for teachers and administrators on Health and Physical Education teaching and learning at the elementary level
  • Develop and maintain relationships with education professionals and organizations
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in Physical Education and Health

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in education
  • Specialist in Physical Education and Health at the Primary Junior Division; second specialist an asset
  • Experience facilitating Intermediate/Superior Physical Education and Health AQ
  • Membership or leadership position in education professional organization
  • Capability of applying the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession in Ontario
