Student Services Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Services Counsellor to join our team at South East Cornerstone Public School Division #209. As a key member of our Student Services team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to students, families, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess students to evaluate their strengths, needs, and areas for intervention.
- Provide ongoing assessment and intervention through therapeutic activities that optimize students' ability to function in education, home, and community environments.
- Communicate with parents, administrators, and other school staff to share assessment results and recommendations for programming.
- Participate in IIP and school-based team meetings to ensure comprehensive services for students.
- Consult with Student Services consultants and other school-based personnel to provide follow-up support for students.
- Provide referrals and recommendations to outside agencies and Student Services Consultants as needed.
- Develop and deliver workshops and in-service training to teachers, educational assistants, and other school staff on areas of expertise.
- Bachelor of Social Work degree or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a social worker or equivalent.
- 2 or more years training and experience with child, youth, and family counselling.
- Current and valid Driver's License.
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
