Position Overview
Shannex Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care and support to our residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of quality health services within our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Leading health services staff while ensuring compliance with individualized health service planning.
- Facilitating effective communication among management and health services teams to uphold policies and procedures.
- Administering prescribed medications and maintaining accurate documentation as per organizational standards.
- Applying treatments and dressings according to physician directives and established protocols.
- Overseeing the performance and conduct of healthcare staff to ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Active registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, with availability across all shift types.
- Current CPR & First Aid or BLS Certification.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
- Strong proficiency in English; French language skills are an asset.
- Experience or training in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care is highly valued.
- Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environments is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors through compassionate care.
