Position Overview

The role of a Systems Testing Technician at TECHSAT involves a variety of responsibilities focused on ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications and information systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and document comprehensive software testing strategies.
  • Install and configure both software and hardware, including operating systems, to prepare for thorough testing.
  • Conduct and meticulously document the outcomes of software application tests as well as tests for information and telecommunication systems.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures for software and information system testing.
Community Engagement

This position also includes participation in initiatives that support:

  • Newcomers and Refugees: Involvement in programs aimed at assisting newcomers and refugees, including support for foreign credential recognition.
  • Youth Employment: Engagement in community programs that promote job opportunities for youth.
  • Indigenous Communities: Active participation in initiatives that benefit Indigenous populations.
