Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repairer to join our team at CARSTAR. As an Auto Body Repairer, you will be responsible for repairing and refinishing vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components to restore vehicles to their original condition
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired to ensure a smooth finish
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting to ensure a precise and even coat
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers to restore the vehicle's original shape
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place to ensure a secure and durable repair
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to match the original color and finish
  • Repair or replace interior components to restore the vehicle's original condition
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams to ensure a seamless repair
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to restore the vehicle's original shape
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
