Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and ensure that all interactions are professional and courteous.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service or related industry.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and wet/damp environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The position requires standing for extended periods and working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week.
