About the Role:

Municipal Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team based out of Moncton, NB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our transportation fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete detailed reports to record problems and work performed
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose defects and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of a transport truck and truck-trailer systems
  • Inspect brake systems, wheel bearings, steering components, and other engine parts, and perform repairs as required
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer's specifications
  • Help prevent breakdowns by checking, cleaning, and oiling machine parts regularly
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Candidates who have completed the Interprovincial Red Seal Mechanic Certificate or are in the process of completing the blocks are required
  • Automotive Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
  • 1 – 2 years' similar experience preferred
  • Class 3 Drivers License
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Working safely is a condition of employment
