About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Westside Landscaping Ltd. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with landscape constructions, maintaining gardens, and ensuring our outdoor spaces look their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Work alongside our experienced team to build and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, and other landscaping features.
  • Weed, Prune, and Trim Trees and Plants: Maintain the health and appearance of our plants and trees through regular pruning, weeding, and trimming.
  • Cut Grass and Maintain Lawns: Ensure our lawns and gardens are well-manicured and look their best.
  • Rake and Collect Refuse: Keep our work areas clean and tidy by raking and collecting refuse.
  • Cart and Spread Topsoil and Other Materials: Assist with the transportation and application of topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay Sod or Seed: Help to establish new lawns and gardens by laying sod or seeding.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Assist with the planting of new flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply Fertilizers: Help to maintain the health of our plants and trees by applying fertilizers as needed.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure our equipment is in good working order by performing regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Water and Tend to Plants, Lawns, and/or Gardens: Assist with the watering and maintenance of our plants, lawns, and gardens.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Use a variety of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools, to maintain our outdoor spaces.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: This role involves performing repetitive tasks, such as weeding and pruning, on a regular basis.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: You will be required to handle heavy loads, such as topsoil and equipment, as part of your duties.
  • Physically Demanding: This role is physically demanding and requires a high level of energy and stamina.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel on a regular basis as part of your duties.
