Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Atmospheric Engineer to enhance our Atmospheric Sciences group. This role is pivotal in assisting clients across various sectors, including healthcare, community services, and environmental management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in diverse projects that contribute to the well-being of our communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain client relationships while driving business growth.
- Oversee project management and the preparation of comprehensive proposals.
- Draft and evaluate technical reports related to air quality and environmental assessments.
- Conduct data collection and analysis both in the field and through desktop research.
- Monitor and report on air quality, meteorological conditions, and noise levels.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff in your areas of expertise.
- Proficient in quantitative analysis and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in statistical analysis is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of air quality regulations and guidelines at both provincial and federal levels.
- Background in ambient air quality monitoring and noise assessment is advantageous.
- Experience in greenhouse gas quantification and management strategies is beneficial.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Experience in project management within a consulting framework is preferred.
- Proven track record of effective interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A valid driver's license is required.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically in air quality, meteorology, and noise management, is required. A Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should be licensed as a Professional Engineer or eligible for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
This position entails a mix of fieldwork and office duties, requiring adaptability to various working conditions. The role may involve travel and exposure to outdoor environments.
