Overview

Volunteer MBC is dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors through various community initiatives. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as Route Marshals for an upcoming community walk designed to promote health and well-being among seniors.

Role Responsibilities

As a Route Marshal, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding participants along the designated route, providing encouragement and support.
  • Monitoring the well-being of participants, being vigilant for any health or safety concerns, and communicating with event officials as necessary.
  • Wearing appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor conditions, and bringing essentials such as sunscreen and water.
  • Utilizing a lawn chair to ensure comfort during your shift.
Shift Details

Time: 9am - 1:30pm

Attire: Comfortable outdoor clothing

Qualifications

All Route Marshals must possess a fully functional cell phone for communication regarding any health or safety issues that may arise during the event.

Participation in a one-hour virtual training session prior to the event is required.

Age Requirements: Minimum age of 16, maximum age of 60.

Background Checks: Not required.

Additional Documentation: Resume, driver's license, and proof of vaccination are not required.

Commitment

This role is part of a special event commitment, with shifts available on designated days.

Training Information

Volunteers will receive a link for virtual training prior to the event date.
