Position Overview
The Inventory Control Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our retail environment. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this position is essential for overseeing the management of inventory flow systems within the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the timely processing and prioritization of merchandise receipts while continuously seeking improvements in systems and processes.
- Ensure the backroom organization meets company standards and is updated seasonally.
- Oversee efficient replenishment processes to maintain a well-stocked sales floor with a diverse range of styles, colors, and sizes.
- Monitor and communicate department changes, addressing issues such as sell-through rates and stock needs proactively.
- Execute inventory-related procedures, including handling damages, transfers, and compliance items.
- Manage the supply ordering process effectively.
- Lead the recruitment and development of stock associates, including interviewing, onboarding, and performance assessments.
- Support the physical inventory and cycle count processes, implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage.
- Assist in visual merchandising and maintain presentation standards in a flagship retail location.
- Contribute to event preparation and execution, ensuring all aspects are well-coordinated.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of both the sales floor and stockroom.
- Stay informed about product and service updates to enhance customer experience.
- Foster teamwork and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Adhere to Loss Prevention policies and guidelines.
- Support management of the sales floor and sales team as directed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a retail setting, preferably in apparel.
- Strong presentation skills in a retail context.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to understand and respond to customer needs effectively.
- Proven ability to gain support for ideas and initiatives.
